Edible Food Design Ltd. was incorporated on 5th November 2001 and is owned and run by Sophie Douglas-Bate. Sophie started to develop her London-based work as a freelance chef in the early nineties, cooking for all manner of things from private dinners for two at home, right up to The British Soap Awards for 800 hungry guests – and everything in between. As time went on, Sophie’s  clients became more established and regular, so she decided that the kitchen in her Battersea flat had been outgrown and is was time to find a bigger space that she could use instead. Three kitchens later and now Edible Food Design has a permanent home –  right on the river in Battersea Reach, just by Wandsworth Bridge.

We are very happy to say that Edible’s list of loyal clients and prestigious venues in and around London is still growing – we continue to look after director’s dining rooms, cater for weddings, provide delicious eats for cocktail parties, sporting events, large dinners and all sorts of other private events as well as cooking regular parties for charitable organisations and local businesses. We have a trusted and well-established relationship with all suppliers, including our brilliant butcher and fabulous fishmonger.
